Paper size 26 1/4 x 19 7/8" (66.8 x 50.5 cm).

This lithograph might be a depiction of Russia, where the artist lived for two years while her husband served as an American diplomat.

Sheila Isham is an American artist, born in New York, New York. She studied at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and later at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, Germany. After completing her education in Berlin, Isham and her husband, Heyward, an American diplomat, traveled and lived in various part of the world, including Russia, India, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Haiti, before settling down in New York in the late 1970s. Her work has been exhibited at numerous galleries and major institutions, including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.
