Signed and titled in pencil, inscribed "trial proof."
Image size 21 1/4 x 15 7/8" (540 x 403 mm).
Condition: Very good condition and color, full sheet.
Richard Florsheim (1916-1979) was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 25, 1916. He studied at the University of Chicago, then in New York with Aaron Bohrod. He traveled and studied in France and Italy in the early 1930's. During WWII he served in the US Navy in the Pacific. His first prints date from 1935, they were etchings and drypoints, he would later transition to lithography where he would be better known. His catalogue Raisonne lists 288 different prints published between 1935 and 1979. Many of which were published by Associated American Artists.
